GENEVA, Switzerland – 27 April 2026 MSC Cruises has revealed details of an expanded family entertainment programme for its forthcoming flagship, MSC World Asia. The vessel is scheduled to operate seven-night Mediterranean itineraries, calling at ports such as Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples and Valletta.
Family Aventura District as Central Hub
The Family Aventura District serves as the main area for family activities on MSC World Asia. This zone features several dedicated spaces, such as The Clubhouse, The Harbour and Doremiland kids club. These facilities aim to provide opportunities for play, interaction and shared family time. Additional entertainment comes from the MSC Luna Park Arena, which focuses on high-energy and participatory events.
MSC Cruises Vice President of Entertainment Steve Leatham said: “As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday, with tailored family entertainment activities and facilities for guests of all ages. MSC Cruises Family Entertainment Development Director Matteo Mancini said: “For us, the greatest reward is seeing the joy on families’ faces when they discover something completely new. On MSC World Asia, every experience has been designed to surprise, inspire and spark imagination. We’ve pushed creativity to new limits, and we’re confident guests will leave genuinely amazed.”

MSC Luna Park Arena Innovations
MSC Luna Park Arena represents a new venue type for MSC Cruises, equipped with digital technology that allows the floor to become an interactive space for gaming and competitions. This setup enables guests to take part in immersive challenges, marking a debut feature for the fleet. The arena will host three original game shows: Code Breakers, which involves solving a secret code under time pressure; Labyrinth, focusing on strategy, intelligence and navigation; and Chart Toppers, a music-based quiz spanning multiple eras.
The venue supports a range of family-oriented events, with adaptations planned for different age groups. Its multi-purpose design allows for flexibility in programming, from group competitions to structured entertainment sessions. This facility contributes to the ship’s overall emphasis on active participation across family demographics.
The Clubhouse and Active Pursuits
The Clubhouse provides a central location for family engagement, featuring colourful decor with nostalgic and retro elements. Activities include a LEGO® Family Zone, roller skating, bumper cars, sports and wellness classes led by professional coaches. Familiar MSC Cruises events return in updated forms, such as Guinness World Records with a pop-up format, Extra Record Live, MasterChef at Sea Juniors aimed at young cooks, and Out of Control, where participants tackle timed obstacle courses against digital opponents.
Other offerings encompass the Doremix Family Disco with fresh songs for children, alongside Star Shooters and World Quest live games. This space encourages competition, connection and memory-making among families and friends. The variety ensures options for both structured sessions and casual participation.
The Harbour Outdoor Experiences
The Harbour functions as an open-air area with attractions suited to various ages, including the Adventure Trail rope course, the longest dry slide at sea and Cliffhanger, noted as Europe’s first over-water swing. Wet and dry features like the Twin Racer and U Drop waterslides add to the options, set against ocean views and centred on the Tree of Life structure. A new playground, The Play Deck, offers a relaxed setting with seating and interactive elements to promote family interaction.
Drawing inspiration from Asian urban environments, The Harbour incorporates live activities, a LEGO® Parade and daily activities. In the evening, it shifts to a themed park atmosphere with lighting and extended events. This transformation extends usability into nighttime hours for guests seeking outdoor fun.
Teen and Younger Guest Programmes
Teen programming on MSC World Asia includes evening events hosted by Yuna, an AI avatar, featuring the Yuna K-Pop Party and Yuna Boogie Roller Party. Exclusive sessions occur in MSC Luna Park Arena and The Clubhouse, with teen editions of Chart Toppers, Labyrinth, Code Breakers and an enhanced Quiz O’Clock: The Battle using new video and multilingual elements.
Doremiland occupies over 10,000 square feet on Deck 19, with areas for babies via a Chicco-developed club, juniors and teens equipped with gaming, an arcade and MSC Formula Racer simulator. New LEGO®-themed rooms reflect Asian landmarks and Formula 1® themes. A LEGO® Parade involves seven mascots based on LEGO® characters, adding to supervised and shared family options.
MSC World Asia positions family entertainment as a core element, with facilities spread across multiple decks and districts. The ship combines destination visits with onboard pursuits tailored to multigenerational groups.
