MIAMI, Florida – 18 May 2026 – Virgin Voyages has set out its Alaska programme for Brilliant Lady, with the ship due to operate 17 voyages across 12 destinations and the Pacific Northwest from this month through September 2026.
The summer season forms the final leg of Brilliant Lady’s inaugural North American tour. Virgin Voyages said interest in the Alaska programme was strong, pointing to presale passes for loyalty members that sold out in 2024.
Brilliant Lady will sail from Seattle and Vancouver on itineraries ranging from seven to 12 nights. The voyages are designed to give guests access to Alaska’s coastal scenery, wildlife and ports during the summer season.
First sailing from Seattle
The ship’s MerMaiden voyage departs Seattle on 21 May and calls at Ketchikan, Sitka and Prince Rupert, British Columbia, before returning to Seattle. Virgin Voyages described Ketchikan as a village within the Tongass National Forest, Sitka as a seaside town and Prince Rupert as a coastal destination in British Columbia.
The cruise line said the Alaska deployment begins during peak orca season. That timing also aligns with a programme of shore excursions that includes wildlife viewing, fishing, glacier experiences and cultural activities.
Shore programmes ashore
Virgin Voyages said the Alaska shore programme includes bald eagle, seal, sea otter and humpback whale spotting. Other options listed in the release include salmon fishing, glacier trekking, lumberjack shows, totem trail walks, sightseeing and cultural tours.
The line did not provide a complete breakdown of every excursion in the release, but positioned the destination programme as a major part of the summer deployment. The itinerary mix is intended to support a broad range of guest interests across the ports called at during the season.
Onboard changes
Ahead of the North American season, Brilliant Lady has also received updates to several onboard venues. Virgin Voyages said 86% of cabins have private balconies with hand-woven hammocks.
The Galley, the ship’s food hall, has floor-to-ceiling windows. The Dock includes outdoor daybeds, while The Runway, the suspended running track, doubles as a viewing point over the scenery.
The company also said its “Treat Yourself” culinary additions will feature locally sourced Alaskan seafood. Virgin Voyages described the changes as a purposeful refresh of the ship’s public spaces ahead of its Alaska programme.
Venue redesigns
Virgin Voyages said several signature venues have been reworked for the season. The Athletic Club now has a panoramic glass wall at the stern, with circular daybeds repositioned to face the views.
The Roundabout has been redesigned as a more enclosed indoor space, with deep navy banquettes, jewel-toned seating and Draught Haus serving barista-made coffee as well as drinks from its taps.
Razzle Dazzle has also changed format and is now Rojo by Razzle Dazzle. The venue has been given a Spanish-inspired design with terracotta and crimson tones for shared plates and a more social dining atmosphere.
Later deployment
The Alaska sailing programme is only the first stage of Brilliant Lady’s wider North American season. After Alaska, the ship is scheduled to sail from Los Angeles in the autumn before moving to Miami for winter.
Among the later sailings listed by Virgin Voyages are a Pacific Coastal itinerary from Vancouver to Los Angeles from 11 to 19 September, a Mexican Riviera voyage from Los Angeles from 3 to 10 October, and a Panama Canal sailing from Los Angeles to Miami from 29 October to 15 November.
Virgin Voyages said its fares remain “Always Included”, covering specialty dining, essential beverages, high-speed WiFi, group fitness classes and entertainment. The company also said guests can receive up to $500 onboard credit on selected Alaska sailings.
The release presents Brilliant Lady’s Alaska season as a major part of the ship’s first North American deployment, with new routes, updated venues and shore programmes designed around the region’s summer conditions.s. It also underlines Roatán’s role within Carnival’s wider network of exclusive destinations.
