LONDON, UK –Sept. 1, 2026: HX Expeditions is rolling out a suite of guest-focused upgrades across its fleet for 2026 and beyond, covering pre-departure planning, digital services, dining, wellness and onboard retail. According to the official press release, the changes are designed to make voyage preparation and life onboard more flexible while bringing key information and services together across the guest journey.
Digital tools expand pre-departure and onboard access
HX has introduced a personalised pre-departure experience tailored to each guest’s booking, sailing and cabin. Travellers receive a customised email with a bespoke PDF of key voyage details, plus a dedicated digital landing page that provides an interactive overview of their expedition and booking information.
A new HX app is now live on MS Fridtjof Nansen, MS Roald Amundsen, MS Fram and MS Spitsbergen. The platform offers travel information and real-time expedition updates, and lets guests make restaurant reservations, browse and book excursions, view daily programmes and receive expedition announcements and itinerary updates.
Dining, wellness and retail additions reach multiple ships
A 24/7 Grab & Go station is now available on MS Fridtjof Nansen, MS Roald Amundsen and MS Spitsbergen. The selection spans breakfast and dairy bowls to gourmet sandwiches, savoury cups, brownie bites, mini muffins and energy bites, served in sustainable, reusable tempered glass containers.
HX has added VINOBLE COSMETICS treatments and products to parts of the fleet. Signature spa treatments are offered on MS Fridtjof Nansen and MS Roald Amundsen, while selected face and body products are sold on those two ships as well as MS Spitsbergen and MS Fram. The Austrian brand uses plant-based formulations with active ingredients derived from grape seeds and grape skins.
Suite guests receive a complimentary selection of VINOBLE COSMETICS products in their room to take home. The range includes targeted serums, nourishing masks, rich creams and luxurious body oils, including items from the GOOD TRUTH range.
GROUNDTRUTH travel bags and accessories are also available on MS Fridtjof Nansen, MS Roald Amundsen, MS Fram and MS Spitsbergen. The collection is made using recycled materials and is designed around durability, functionality and lower-impact material choices.
Stefan Engl, SVP, Guest Experience Operations at HX Expeditions, said: “These latest enhancements reflect our commitment to continually evolving the guest experience. By listening to what our guests value most, we’re making expeditions more seamless, flexible and rewarding at every stage, from booking through to returning home, while preserving the personal service, expert guidance and spirit of adventure that define the HX experience.”
Anniversary offers accompany fleet changes
Alongside the onboard and digital upgrades, HX has launched two limited-time promotions as part of its 130th anniversary. For selected expeditions booked between Sept. 1 and Nov. 9, 2026, guests can receive an additional 5% discount on cabins and 10% on suites on top of existing 130 Years anniversary discounts. The offer applies to selected departures from Oct. 1, 2026 to March 31, 2028, subject to availability and published terms. HX has also introduced separate flight promotions on certain Norway sailings for guests in selected European markets.
The Norway itinerary also features access to Tranøya Island, where guests can go ashore, meet members of the local community and hear about the island’s history, culture and way of life.
