TUI Cruises has doubled down on its Middle East ambitions, confirming the deployment of both Mein Schiff 4 and 5 in Gulf waters for the 2025/26 winter season—even as Red Sea security issues continue to shape broader fleet decisions. The German operator’s confidence in the region is built on sustained passenger demand, robust port infrastructure, and the Gulf’s unique appeal as a winter cruising hotspot.

Mein Schiff 4 will kick off its schedule with week-long itineraries from Dubai, taking in classic ports such as Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Sir Bani Yas Island, followed by a series of short breaks tailored to families and new-to-cruise guests. Mein Schiff 5 will provide extended voyages, including festive sailings and partnerships with local tourism boards to create exclusive shore experiences.

TUI Cruises’ leadership is keen to emphasise the strategic nature of this deployment. “We remain invested in the Gulf for its dynamic growth and year-round market stability,” a spokesperson explained. “The infrastructure and local support allow us to deliver a superior cruise product, even when global deployment patterns shift.” Both ships will benefit from recent upgrades to Dubai Harbour and the cruise terminals in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, making embarkation seamless and enhancing guest experience.

Despite challenges in the Red Sea, Gulf cruising has shown resilience, with strong forward bookings and positive feedback from agents and guests. TUI’s program is also supported by enhanced excursion packages and onboard offerings that cater to both German-speaking and international audiences. Industry analysts highlight that consistent multi-ship deployments are a vote of confidence in the region’s ongoing investment in cruise, positioning the Gulf as a reliable home for major European brands.
