Featuring Three Ships and Epic Circle Pacific Voyage
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — November 26, 2025
Princess Cruises has officially pulled the curtain back on its highly anticipated 2027-2028 Australian summer season, revealing a robust deployment strategy that includes three vessels and a diverse array of itineraries ranging from short coastal hops to massive trans-oceanic odysseys.
The line confirmed today that Royal Princess, Grand Princess, and Sapphire Princess will be deployed to the region, offering a total of 79 departures across 64 unique itineraries. The new program, which is now open for booking, underscores the cruise line’s continued commitment to the Down Under market, catering to both local Australians and international travelers seeking to explore the Southern Hemisphere.
A Season of Exploration and Circumnavigation
The newly announced program covers the full spectrum of Australasian cruising. Guests can choose from classic voyages exploring the fjords and sounds of New Zealand (Aotearoa), relaxing escapes to the turquoise waters of South Pacific nations like Fiji and Vanuatu, and the bucket-list “Round Australia” circumnavigations.
However, the crown jewel of the 2027-28 season is the introduction of a monumental 94-day Circle Pacific voyage aboard Grand Princess. This grand itinerary offers a rare opportunity to link multiple continents in a single journey. The voyage is designed with flexible embarkation options from various ports in Australia and New Zealand. From there, the ship will traverse the South Pacific, head north along the North American coast to the glaciers of Alaska, and then cross the Pacific Ocean to explore Japan and Southeast Asia before returning south.
Exclusive Western Australia Presence
In a strategic move to capture the market in Western Australia, Princess Cruises confirmed it will return to Fremantle in 2027. By homeporting Sapphire Princess in Fremantle, the brand positions itself as the only large premium cruise line to base a ship in Western Australia for the season.
This deployment opens up a variety of itinerary options for residents of the west coast and international visitors alike. Sapphire Princess will sail roundtrip voyages from Fremantle, offering seamless access to the rugged coastline of Western Australia. Additionally, the ship will operate itineraries sailing north to Indonesia, as well as voyages connecting to South Australia, providing ample variety for cruisers looking to explore beyond the traditional East Coast routes.
Cultural Immersion and UNESCO Sites
The 2027-28 season places a heavy emphasis on destination immersion. Princess has curated these itineraries to include extended time in port, featuring late-night departures and overnight stays in major global hubs such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bali (Benoa). These extended calls allow guests to experience the nightlife and culinary scenes of these vibrant destinations.
Furthermore, the itineraries have been designed to showcase the world’s natural and cultural heritage. The season features visits to 20 different UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Highlights include the architectural marvel of the Sydney Opera House, the underwater biodiversity of the Great Barrier Reef and the Ningaloo Coast, the lush Singapore Botanical Gardens, and the Jomon Prehistoric Sites in Japan.
Executive Sentiment
The deployment reflects the line’s confidence in the region’s enduring appeal.
“Princess Cruises has long welcomed travelers from across the globe to experience the stunning beauty, wildlife, and culture of Australia—and this season is no exception,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer. “We’re thrilled to bring local and international guests together to share world-class dining, award-winning entertainment, and unforgettable adventures both onboard and ashore in this magnificent part of the world.”
