4 August 2026: AmaWaterways has revealed first images of AmaNubia, its new Nile river ship scheduled to debut in November 2026, alongside updated renderings of the reimagined AmaDahlia, which is due to return to service in September.
AmaNubia will join AmaLilia and AmaDahlia in AmaWaterways’ growing Nile fleet.
AmaNubia Designed for 76 Guests
AmaNubia will accommodate 76 guests across 38 staterooms, including 15 suites. Described as a half-sister to AmaLilia, the new vessel will share a number of its venues and amenities while featuring its own layout and design. Its interiors will draw on ancient Egyptian and Nubian influences, with design references to ancient temples, the Nile and regional artistry, textures and colours. On board, guests will find Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine, a wellness area with spa services, a fitness centre and public spaces for relaxation between shore experiences.
Dedicated Egyptologists will accompany each sailing, providing lectures, expert insights and guided exploration.

Secrets of Egypt & the Nile
AmaNubia will operate AmaWaterways’ Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, combining a Nile river cruise with hotel stays in Cairo. The programme includes visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. It also includes a private visit to Abdeen Palace in Cairo.
Guests sailing on AmaNubia will stay at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. AmaLilia guests will stay at The St. Regis Cairo, while AmaDahlia guests will stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo. Optional experiences include a visit to Abu Simbel and High Tea at Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan.
AmaWaterways also offers optional land extensions in Alexandria, Dubai and Jordan.
AmaDahlia Returns in September
Alongside the AmaNubia reveal, AmaWaterways released updated renderings of AmaDahlia, including its reception area, bar and lounge. The vessel is scheduled to return to service in its reimagined form in September 2026. AmaDahlia accommodates 72 guests across 36 staterooms and sails the Secrets of Egypt & the Nile programme.

Nile Fleet Set to Grow Further
AmaNubia is scheduled to begin sailing in November 2026, joining AmaDahlia and AmaLilia in the company’s Nile fleet.
A fourth vessel, AmaCleo, is scheduled to join the Nile operation in autumn 2027, extending AmaWaterways’ planned growth in Egypt.
