24 September 2026 – Virgin Voyages has reached a milestone of two million Sailors, marking the occasion by extending Sailing Club benefits through 31 December 2028 and bringing back its Status Match programme.
The cruise line said the milestone reflects two million people choosing to sail with Virgin Voyages.
Sailing Club benefits extended
Virgin Voyages is extending Sailing Club and the VIP benefits associated with the programme through the end of 2028.
The extension gives Sailors who already hold status more time to use their benefits, while those working towards status have longer to qualify. The company said the benefits themselves are not changing, with the extension affecting how long they can be enjoyed.
Current benefits include priority services, exclusive events and small upgrades.
Status Match returns
Virgin Voyages has also reopened Status Match for a limited period. Travellers who have not previously sailed with Virgin Voyages and hold eligible status with an airline, hotel chain or another cruise line can apply to have that status matched. Successful applicants can access Blue Extras perks on a new Virgin Voyages booking.
Applications are open from 24 September through 31 October 2026.
Resilient Lady surprise
Virgin Voyages also marked the milestone during check-in aboard Resilient Lady, where one Sailor and one First Mate received a surprise during embarkation. The Happenings Cast appeared during the check-in process as part of the celebration. The Sailor received a Mega Suite upgrade, a beachfront cabana in Bimini, a Shore Thing and an invitation to return for Sisters at Sea. The prize package also included a Virgin holiday with roundtrip flights to London and a stay at Virgin Hotels.
The announcement marked the two-million-Sailor milestone with an extension of existing loyalty benefits, the return of Status Match and a guest surprise aboard Resilient Lady.
