Virgin Voyages Ship Valiant Lady

28 July 2026Virgin Voyages will introduce its first season in Scandinavia and the Baltics in summer 2028, with Valiant Lady operating six sailings between 9 July and 4 September, according to the cruise line’s official announcement.

The programme comprises four new Marvelous Voyages sailing from Amsterdam and two Western Europe Crossings linking the Dutch capital with Barcelona. The season will include maiden calls at 15 ports. Every itinerary includes a port that is new to the Virgin Voyages fleet.

Four Marvelous Voyages to Sail from Amsterdam

The four new Marvelous Voyages range from seven to 12 nights and cover destinations across Scandinavia, the Baltic and the Norwegian fjords.

The 12-night Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight voyage will depart on 19 July 2028. The itinerary includes six ports across five countries, with calls at Oslo, Copenhagen, Gdańsk via Gdynia, Stockholm, Warnemünde for Berlin and Aarhus.

Valiant Lady will remain overnight in Stockholm, departing the following afternoon. The Copenhagen visit will include a late departure.

A seven-night Norwegian Fjords itinerary will operate from 31 July to 7 August. Calls are scheduled at Molde, Nordfjordeid, Flåm and Bergen.

The ship will then sail the seven-night Scandinavia & Hamburg voyage from 7 to 14 August. The itinerary features Oslo, Copenhagen and Hamburg, with late departures scheduled in Copenhagen and Hamburg.

Arctic Circle Sailing Scheduled for August

The season’s 11-night Arctic Circle & Norwegian Fjords voyage will depart Amsterdam on 14 August 2028.

Valiant Lady will visit Bergen before crossing the Arctic Circle and continuing to Tromsø, Honningsvåg, Trondheim, Åndalsnes and Olden. Honningsvåg serves as the gateway to North Cape, described by Virgin Voyages as the northernmost point reachable by road in mainland Europe.

The Arctic Circle crossing will be marked by an onboard ceremony and a midnight-sun deck event during the period of 24-hour daylight.

The programme’s other itineraries include ports in Scandinavia, the Baltic region, the Norwegian fjords and Western Europe.

Crossings to Link Barcelona and Amsterdam

The first Western Europe Crossing will depart Barcelona for Amsterdam on 9 July 2028, calling at Casablanca, Lisbon, La Coruña and Cherbourg. Valiant Lady will arrive in Lisbon at 6pm and remain until 6pm the following day.

The return crossing will depart Amsterdam for Barcelona on 25 August, following the route in the opposite direction but replacing Casablanca with a final call at Tangier. Its Lisbon visit is scheduled from 8am to 1pm.

Stockholm and Lisbon are the destinations receiving extended visits during the season. Valiant Lady will stay overnight in Stockholm during the 12-night Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight itinerary, while Lisbon receives an overnight call on the outbound Western Europe Crossing.
