ZUG, Switzerland, 14 October 2026: Scenic Group is marking its 40th anniversary this month with worldwide guest and partner celebrations and a river and yacht expansion programme extending through 2028 and beyond.
Planned developments include new river ships in Europe, India and Southeast Asia, additions to the Emerald Yacht Cruises fleet and the debut of Scenic Ikon.
River expansion planned across Europe and Asia
In France, Emerald Lumi will expand Emerald Cruises & Tours’ Seine River offering in 2027.
Scenic will introduce journeys on India’s Hooghly River in 2027, with a further ship planned for the Brahmaputra River in 2028.
The Group will also launch Scenic Spirit II and Scenic Spirit III on the Mekong River in 2028, expanding its ultra-luxury river presence in Southeast Asia.
Emerald yacht fleet to expand through 2028
The Emerald Yacht Cruises fleet will grow with Emerald Raiya in 2027 and Emerald Xara in 2028. The additions will broaden Emerald Cruises’ destination offering, including the Seychelles.
Scenic Eclipse II is also scheduled to return to Asia Pacific in 2028, alongside Emerald Xara’s arrival in the region.
Scenic Ikon to debut in Mediterranean
Scenic Ikon will make its debut in the Mediterranean in April 2028. Antarctica will also feature during the yacht’s inaugural season as Scenic Group expands its Scenic Discovery Yachts collection.

Anniversary events continue through October
Guests travelling with Scenic and Emerald Cruises & Tours during October are taking part in special dining events, themed entertainment and commemorative experiences.
Anniversary-month departures selected for Scenic & Emerald Rewards members include the annual Scenic Discovery Yachts Chairman’s Voyage in the United States. Its programme features special events in Wilmington, Charleston and Key West.
Another departure is the Scenic Romantic Rhine & Moselle river cruise, paired with a Switzerland land extension and an exclusive Lucerne dinner hosted by Scenic Group management.
