Fort Lauderdale, Florida – June 2, 2026: Princess Cruises has announced its largest Europe season to date for 2028, with 291 departures across 150 itineraries, according to the official press release. The programme will feature six ships sailing in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and on transatlantic voyages.

The 2028 season is now on sale and includes sailings ranging from seven to 53 days. Princess Cruises said the programme will visit 128 destinations in 37 countries and provide access to 101 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The season will also include 32 late-night or overnight stays, giving guests additional time in selected ports.

The cruise line has also confirmed first-time calls to Galway and Killybegs in Ireland, alongside the introduction of a new Pole-to-Pole Odyssey voyage linking Antarctica and the Arctic.

Six ships to sail across Europe in 2028

Princess Cruises’ 2028 Europe deployment will include Caribbean Princess, Enchanted Princess, Majestic Princess, Regal Princess, Sky Princess and Sun Princess. The ships will sail from 13 departure ports across the season.

The cruise line said the programme represents the largest Europe deployment in its history. It combines Northern Europe, Mediterranean and transatlantic options, with itineraries designed to cover both major destinations and smaller ports.

New Ireland calls and Pole-to-Pole Odyssey added

Among the new elements for 2028 are Princess Cruises’ first calls to Galway and Killybegs. The ports will bring passengers to Ireland’s western coast as part of the line’s Northern Europe programme.

The season will also introduce the Pole-to-Pole Odyssey, a 53-day voyage connecting Antarctica and the Arctic. Princess Cruises described the itinerary as part of its Europe programme, with the route designed to include dramatic landscapes, varied cultures and exploration-focused destinations.

“At Princess, we continue to see strong interest in Europe itineraries that offer both iconic destinations and more time for meaningful experiences ashore,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer. “Our 2028 Europe season gives guests the broadest range of Europe options we’ve ever offered, including new calls in Ireland, more opportunities for immersive cultural experiences, and the introduction of our 53-day Pole-to-Pole Odyssey.”

Northern Europe itineraries include late stays

Princess Cruises said its Northern Europe sailings will focus on smaller ports, landscapes and cultural connections. Highlights include Norway’s fjords and the new Ireland calls to Galway and Killybegs.

Late-night and overnight stays are scheduled in several Northern Europe destinations. These include Stockholm, Hamburg, Tromsø, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Belfast and Reykjavik. The release notes that these extended calls are intended to allow passengers to experience destinations beyond daytime sightseeing hours.

The cruise line also highlighted local experiences across its Europe itineraries, including shore excursions connected to regional culture, food and traditions. Examples listed include pasta making with an Italian family, Indigenous Sami traditions in Arctic Norway, artisan workshops at Royal Delft in the Netherlands, and guided access to Mont Saint-Michel and ancient Athens.

Mediterranean programme covers major ports

Princess Cruises’ Mediterranean sailings for 2028 will include destinations such as Athens, Pompeii, Ephesus, Barcelona, Lisbon, Dubrovnik and Florence. The programme will also feature late-night or overnight calls in Istanbul, Mykonos, Ibiza, Valletta, Split, Lisbon and La Spezia, which serves Florence and Pisa.

The Mediterranean deployment forms part of the wider 2028 Europe season and is positioned alongside the Northern Europe and transatlantic schedules. It includes both established cruise destinations and extended time in selected ports.

Transatlantic voyages link Europe with the Americas

The 2028 programme also includes transatlantic voyages connecting Europe with North and South America. Routes will feature calls at destinations including the Canary Islands, Madeira, the Azores, Bermuda and Morocco.

Princess Cruises is also offering early booking bonuses from June 2 through October 12, 2026. Captain’s Circle members are also eligible for additional savings.

Additional information about the Europe programme is available through travel advisors, Princess Cruises’ call centre and the cruise line’s website.
