Silversea Venetian Society Cruise 2026

MIAMI, 1 July 2026: Silversea has completed its 2026 Venetian Society Reunion Voyage aboard Silver Shadow, concluding the 12-day Mediterranean sailing with a fireworks display over Portofino.

According to the official press release, the round-trip voyage departed Nice on 19 June and welcomed first-time guests alongside members of the Venetian Society, Silversea’s loyalty programme. Silversea President Bert Hernandez and other company executives joined guests during the sailing.

Venetian Society members selected the itinerary, which combined destinations across France, Italy and Malta with exclusive events ashore, regional culinary experiences and a programme of onboard entertainment.

Portofino finale closes the reunion sailing

The reunion concluded on 30 June with a farewell event on Silver Shadow’s pool deck while the ship was in Portofino.

The ship’s singers and dancers opened the evening before crew members took part in a presentation representing their home countries. A fireworks display over Portofino harbour brought the final celebration to a close.

The event followed a programme of themed culinary experiences, enhanced entertainment, and dedicated events. First-time guests and Venetian Society members travelled together throughout the voyage, with opportunities to meet Silversea executives and participate in dedicated events.

“Silversea’s Venetian Society Reunion Voyages are built around the guests who know us best,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea. “These reunions offer a moment to connect deeply with our most loyal and experienced travelers, and I value that time – not only to celebrate, but to listen, exchange, and continually elevate the Silversea experience. This voyage delivered an itinerary they chose themselves, with one-of-a-kind moments, and every detail designed to exceed expectations – from a private evening on the Amalfi Coast to an intimate olive oil tasting at a historic estate near Gaeta. That depth of access, experienced while journeying in the company of like-minded travelers, is what keeps our guests coming back time and time again.

Silver Shadow visits France, Italy and Malta

Silver Shadow departed Nice on 19 June and began the itinerary with an overnight call in Livorno, providing access to Tuscany.

The ship continued to Porto Santo Stefano and Civitavecchia, the gateway to Rome, before sailing to Valletta in Malta. Further calls included Giardini Naxos beneath the heights of Taormina, Salerno, and Portofino. The 12-day voyage returned to Nice on 1 July.

Selected shoreside events included a Tuscan wine experience from Porto Santo Stefano. Hernandez accompanied guests to Tenuta Ammiraglia, the Frescobaldi family’s coastal estate overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The visit included a wine tasting and lunch among the estate’s vineyards. The Frescobaldi family’s winemaking history extends across more than 30 generations.

Private concert held near Salerno

Venetian Society members also attended a private event at Tenuta dei Normanni near Salerno.

The evening began with a reception featuring cocktails, Prosecco and specialities from southern Italy. Guests then attended Alla Scoperta di Ennio Morricone, an open-air concert performed by the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra.

The programme featured compositions by Oscar-winning Italian composer Ennio Morricone and was staged in the estate’s amphitheatre.

Another small-group experience took guests to Antica Masseria near Gaeta for an olive oil tasting. The visit examined regional olive cultivation and the methods used to produce olive oil at the historic property.

These destination activities formed part of the tailored shoreside programme accompanying the reunion voyage.

New activities join onboard entertainment

The onboard entertainment programme featured vocal group Tenors Unlimited and singer Kenny James.

Silversea also introduced Studio at Sea to the daily programme. The activity combined painting with live music, giving participating guests an opportunity to create artwork during the voyage.

An escape-room experience developed by Puzzle Break was also added to the programme. Hernandez joined the onboard activities by hosting special editions of trivia and bingo.

The entertainment schedule was accompanied by receptions and gatherings for Venetian Society members, first-time guests and Silversea executives.

Refreshed loyalty programme accompanies reunion

The completion of the voyage comes alongside Silversea’s refreshed Venetian Society loyalty programme.

The updated programme introduces additional membership milestones, expanded benefits and more ways for guests to earn Venetian Society Days. The changes are intended to recognise members earlier as they progress through the programme.

Venetian Society Reunion Voyages remain part of the loyalty offering, providing members with dedicated onboard events, selected experiences ashore and opportunities to travel with Silversea executives.

Silver Dawn to host the 2027 reunion

Silversea has confirmed that the next Venetian Society Reunion Voyage will take place aboard Silver Dawn in 2027.

The 12-day sailing will depart Copenhagen on 3 September and arrive in Southampton on 15 September. Its itinerary was also selected by Venetian Society members.

The announcement of the 2027 voyage follows the conclusion of Silver Shadow’s Mediterranean reunion, which ended its programme of shoreside events and onboard activities with the Portofino fireworks finale.
