Holland America Opens Five New Oosterdam Voyages

Holland America Line adds Five Oosterdam Sailings

SEATTLE, 07 October 2026 – Holland America Line has opened bookings for five newly added Oosterdam voyages following the ship’s transformation through Holland America Evolution.

The sailings begin on 31 October 2027 and run through December, taking the transformed ship across the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Caribbean.

Oosterdam’s Evolution transformation will begin earlier than previously scheduled following strong guest demand for cruises aboard the reimagined ship. The work will take place in Marseille, France, before Oosterdam returns to service.

Holland America Evolution is the line’s largest fleet investment in its 153-year history and is a multiyear modernisation programme designed to bring elements of the Pinnacle Class experience to more ships.

Oosterdam to Return With Adriatic Sailing

The first post-transformation voyage will be a 10-day Adriatic Antiquities cruise from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Trieste, departing on 31 October 2027.

The itinerary explores Pompeii and Sicily, the Greek island of Corfu, Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor and Croatia’s Adriatic coast.

“One of the great joys of travel is being among the first to discover something new, and these voyages give guests that opportunity aboard Oosterdam,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. “As the first ship to emerge from Holland America Evolution, Oosterdam marks the beginning of an exciting new era for our fleet. We’re delighted to welcome guests aboard these inaugural post-Evolution sailings and invite them to be among the first to experience a transformation that builds on everything they love about Holland America Line while introducing what comes next.”

The inaugural sailing will be followed by four additional voyages that move Oosterdam from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean during November and December 2027.

Five Voyages Span Three Regions

An 11-day Adriatic Antiquities: Croatia, Greek Isles & Istanbul voyage will depart Trieste on 10 November 2027 for Piraeus (Athens), Greece. Oosterdam will then operate a seven-day Mediterranean Splendor: Greek Isles & Malta cruise from Piraeus to Barcelona on 21 November.

A 13-day Cultural Crossing: Spain & Gibraltar sailing will depart Barcelona for Fort Lauderdale on 28 November, taking the ship across the Atlantic. The sequence concludes with an 11-day Caribbean Cruise departing Fort Lauderdale on 11 December and returning to the same port.

Together, the five voyages will give guests the opportunity to sail aboard the transformed Oosterdam across the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Caribbean following her return to service.

Evolution Adds New Accommodations and Venues

Oosterdam will be the first ship to emerge from Holland America Evolution, which is designed to bring selected elements of the line’s Pinnacle Class experience to more ships while introducing new venues and accommodations.

The transformed ship will add purpose-built Solo Verandahs, forward-facing Bridgeview Suites, Vista Suites and a reimagined Pinnacle Suite. Grand Dutch Café will also debut aboard Oosterdam alongside a redesigned Ocean Bar. Holland America Line said the new venues will bring some of the most popular features from its Pinnacle Class ships to Oosterdam. Accommodations and public spaces will also be refreshed as part of the transformation.

Bookings Open for 2027 Sailings

Bookings are now open for all five newly added voyages. The first departs after Oosterdam’s transformation in Marseille, followed by a series of Mediterranean sailings, an Atlantic crossing and Caribbean cruising from Fort Lauderdale.

Holland America Line said Oosterdam’s return to service will mark the next phase of Holland America Evolution, a multiyear modernisation programme designed to bring elements of the Pinnacle Class experience to more ships.
