Norwegian Bella Opens for 2028 Mediterranean Sailings

Norwegian Bella Prima Class NCL Ship

MIAMI, Florida, 20 October 2026 – Norwegian Cruise Line® has opened bookings for Norwegian Bella, the grand finale of its Prima Class, ahead of the ship’s European debut in May 2028.

The ship will operate seven-day roundtrip Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona, visiting destinations including Rome, Florence and Salerno in Italy, Marseille in France and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.

At approximately 1,129 feet long and 170,000 gross tons, Norwegian Bella will accommodate 3,921 guests at double occupancy and will join Norwegian Aura as the largest ships in NCL’s fleet.

Prima Class concludes with Norwegian Bella

Norwegian Bella is being built by Fincantieri, alongside Norwegian Aura. Interior design work involves AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, SMC Design and Studio Dado.

The ship will offer experiences similar to Norwegian Aura, with Norwegian Bella deployed in Europe and Norwegian Aura sailing in the Caribbean.

“Norwegian Bella marks a milestone moment in our fleet as the culmination of our award-winning Prima Class,” said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Drawing on the innovations and guest feedback that have shaped the class from the very beginning, Norwegian Bella brings together our most sought-after experiences in one extraordinary ship.

“From enhanced outdoor spaces and family-friendly attractions to elevated venues for relaxation and connection, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to give guests the freedom and flexibility to vacation exactly how they want to, without anyone having to compromise. We look forward to welcoming guests to discover the Mediterranean with us aboard Norwegian Bella.”

Ocean Heights spans four decks

Among the ship’s features will be Ocean Heights, a multi-level outdoor complex spanning decks 18 through 21. Activities will include Eclipse Racers, the Bella Free Fall waterslide, the four-person pendulum-style raft slide The Wave and The Drop, a dry slide descending 10 decks. The area will also feature the Bella Ropes Course, Bella Midway, a nine-hole mini golf course and Moon Climber, a multi-level harness-free adventure course.

On deck eight, Ocean Boulevard will wrap around the ship and include additional seating compared with Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, together with hot tubs and an outdoor bar.

Infinity Beach will provide infinity pools, upscale daybeds, hot tubs and a full-service outdoor bar. Dedicated younger-guest areas will include Little Explorers’ Cay for children aged two to six, Adventure Alley for ages six to 10 and Surf’s Bay for teenagers.

Larger pool deck and adults-only areas planned

Norwegian Bella’s pool deck will be more than 15% larger than those aboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, with additional space and seating, an infinity hot tub and a large LED entertainment screen.

The Kids’ Aqua Park will feature a redesigned splash pad and interactive water features, while The Party Slide and Infinity Loop will add further family-focused attractions. Horizon Park on deck 19 will offer outdoor lawn games and lounging areas.

For adults, Vibe Beach Club will include infinity hot tubs, a central oceanfront bar, relaxation areas, sun loungers and daybeds.

The Haven to include 159 suites

Norwegian Bella will offer nearly 2,000 staterooms, ranging from inside and studio accommodation to balcony categories.

The ship will also feature 159 suites within The Haven by Norwegian, the keycard-access ship-within-a-ship experience, designed by Piero Lissoni. Located aft, The Haven will include private elevators, a sundeck with an infinity pool, two hot tubs, an outdoor sauna and cold room, separate family-friendly and adults-only areas, and a private restaurant, bar and lounge. Guests will also receive 24-hour butler and concierge service and priority embarkation, disembarkation and reservations.

George Rose designs hull artwork

Norwegian Bella will feature original hull artwork by Australian contemporary artist George Rose, whose work spans public, cultural and commercial projects internationally.

“Designing the hull art for Norwegian Bella was an opportunity to capture the sense of wonder that travel inspires. Through vibrant color, organic forms and a feeling of movement, I wanted to create a piece that reflects the excitement of exploration and discovery.

“I’m looking forward to seeing my artwork come to life on a ship that will visit some of Europe’s most remarkable destinations, and I hope it becomes part of the memories guests create throughout their journey.”
