MSC Cruises Introduces New Wellness Services Across Fleet

MSC World America Aurea Spa

GENEVA, Switzerland – 22 June 2026 –  MSC Cruises is introducing an expanded spa, beauty and medical wellness programme across its fleet during 2026, combining new treatments with personalised skincare, grooming and restorative services, according to the official press release.

The enhanced MSC Aurea Spa concept will include medical wellness treatments, artificial intelligence-powered skin analysis, Japanese head spa rituals, professional teeth whitening and advanced skincare services.

The rollout is scheduled to take place across the fleet throughout 2026. Some services will initially be available on selected ships, with medical wellness treatments beginning in North America from summer 2026.

MSC Aurea Spa broadens wellness services

The updated MSC Aurea Spa programme brings together traditional spa treatments, beauty services, skincare technology and medical wellness options within the same onboard facility.

MSC Cruises said the expanded concept is intended to provide guests with access to treatments commonly associated with land-based wellness resorts while they are travelling.

“Today’s travelers are looking for more than a vacation – they want to return home feeling better than when they left. Our vision is to create the most complete wellness experience at sea, combining relaxation, beauty, recovery and self-care in one destination.

Whether a guest is seeking rejuvenation, advanced skincare, restorative therapies or simply a moment of calm, MSC Aurea Spa now offers an experience comparable to the world’s leading wellness retreats,” said Claudio Saviano, Head of Aurea Spa, MSC Cruises.

The programme covers services ranging from aesthetic treatments and grooming to scalp care, skin diagnostics and restorative refreshments.

Medical and advanced skincare treatments added

Medical wellness services will be introduced on selected ships from summer 2026, beginning with vessels operating in North America.

The services will include intravenous therapy, aesthetic injectables, dermal fillers and permanent make-up. MSC Cruises said the procedures will be carried out by licensed professionals.

Advanced skin treatments will use hydro-microdermabrasion technology alongside skincare products supplied by Opatra London.

Guests will also be able to receive artificial intelligence-powered skin analysis. The assessments will examine individual skincare requirements and provide personalised treatment and product recommendations.

These additions form part of the cruise line’s move to combine beauty treatments, diagnostic tools and medical wellness services within the MSC Aurea Spa programme.

Japanese head spa and grooming services introduced

A Japanese Head Spa treatment will be rolled out across the fleet from summer 2026. The service is based on traditional Japanese wellness practices and combines scalp and hair treatments intended to provide a relaxing ritual.

Professional teeth whitening will also be available, with treatments delivered by qualified specialists using whitening technology.

MSC Cruises is adding new barbering services for male guests. These will include modern grooming treatments, scalp consultations and therapeutic massage services.

Ear piercing will also become available at sea. The service will use hypoallergenic jewellery and follow hygiene and safety procedures.

Tea service and wellness kits form part of rollout

The enhanced spa programme will include a restorative tea service for guests before or after treatments.

The tea menu, supplied by Team Dr Joseph, will feature selected wellness teas intended to accompany relaxation and recovery periods within the spa.

From summer 2026, selected MSC Aurea Spa guests will also receive a welcome wellness kit. The package will contain a range of products and amenities, including branded flip-flops and shaving kits.

MSC Cruises said the contents will vary and may include other wellness-related essentials.

The tea service and welcome gift will sit alongside the wider programme of medical, beauty, grooming and restorative treatments being introduced during 2026.

New services to roll out across MSC Cruises fleet

The enhanced programme includes nine newly announced spa and beauty elements: medical wellness treatments, advanced skin treatments, artificial intelligence-powered skin analysis, Japanese Head Spa rituals, professional teeth whitening, barbering services, ear piercing, a restorative tea service and welcome wellness kits.

MSC Cruises operates a fleet of 23 ships sailing across five continents, with itineraries visiting more than 300 destinations in over 100 countries.

The company has not confirmed whether every service will be available on every vessel. Medical wellness treatments will begin on selected ships in North America, while the Japanese Head Spa is scheduled for a fleetwide rollout beginning in summer 2026.

Other treatments and services will be introduced across the fleet during the wider 2026 implementation period.nts and renewable fuels while working towards the maritime sector’s net-zero greenhouse gas target for 2050.
