ANCONA, Italy, 23 September 2026 – The keel has been laid for Four Seasons II at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard in Italy, marking the official start of construction work on the second Four Seasons Yachts vessel in the dry dock, according to an official announcement from the shipbuilder.
Fincantieri held the ceremony with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd., Joint Owner and Operator of Four Seasons Yachts. The milestone follows the introduction of Four Seasons II earlier this year, with the yacht scheduled to debut in 2028.
Four Seasons II will measure approximately 34,000 gross tonnes and 207 metres in length and will feature 79 suites.
Commemorative coin placed during keel-laying ceremony
The keel-laying ceremony was attended by Gilberto Tobaldi, Director of Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard, Ben Trodd, CEO of Four Seasons Yachts, and other representatives and guests.
As part of the ceremony, a commemorative coin was welded into the yacht’s hull, following the maritime tradition associated with keel laying. The construction milestone moves Four Seasons II into its next stage at the Ancona shipyard, where Fincantieri is building the vessel for Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd.
Fincantieri has described the yacht as incorporating residential-style accommodation, extensive terrace areas and advanced environmental technologies.
Four Seasons II to feature 79 suites
Four Seasons II will continue the all-suite approach established aboard Four Seasons I while introducing a new collection of Yacht Residential Suites.
The yacht will have 79 accommodations, including 12 Yacht Residential Suites positioned across the upper decks. These larger suites will range from two to four bedrooms and are designed with open-plan living areas, private terraces and kitchens. Select Yacht Residential Suites will also include private splash pools, outdoor showers and wellness-focused amenities. Dedicated concierge service will form part of the residential suite offering.
Four Seasons Yachts has also confirmed a guest-to-staff ratio of approximately one-to-one aboard Four Seasons II.
Dining, wellness and destination programme planned
The yacht will offer 11 culinary concepts alongside wellness facilities, cultural programming and Shore and Sea Experiences. Four Seasons Yachts has said late stays and overnight calls will be incorporated into itineraries, allowing guests additional time in selected destinations.
Four Seasons II is scheduled to begin operating in 2028. Published voyages currently include Mediterranean itineraries, with the yacht’s programme beginning with sailings in the region.
The vessel follows Four Seasons I, which entered service in March 2026 as the first yacht in the Four Seasons Yachts fleet.
Second vessel continues Four Seasons Yachts fleet development
Four Seasons II forms part of the wider Four Seasons Yachts venture involving Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd., Four Seasons and Fincantieri. The vessel builds on the residential-style concept established with Four Seasons I while introducing the new larger Yacht Residential Suites and maintaining the fleet’s all-suite format.
Fincantieri is constructing Four Seasons II at its Ancona shipyard, where the keel-laying ceremony formally marked the start of the vessel’s construction work in the dry dock ahead of its planned 2028 debut.
