Founded in 2010 by John McKeon and Tachen Ting, the company was built on the philosophy of creating a “company we would want to travel with,” eschewing the industry trend toward larger vessels in favour of intimate, small-ship expeditions.

Unlike operators that view the ship as the destination, Polar Latitudes emphasises the destination itself, maximising time off the ship via Zodiac cruising and shore landings.
