MIAMI, Florida – 16 April 2026 – Crystal has unveiled an early look at its summer and autumn 2028 programme, led by the inaugural season of Crystal Grace and new voyages for Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. The line said the sailings will span the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Arctic, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and the Caribbean, with full itineraries due to be released on 16 April 2026 and opened for booking on 28 April 2026.

The announcement also includes several combinable sailings and a Grand Journey, while the company said the schedule has been designed to provide deeper exploration of the regions being visited.

Mario Parodi, vice president of itinerary planning and port and fuel operations for Crystal, said: “Our 2028 voyages are designed to offer guests deeper exploration across some of the most beautiful regions around the world. Crystal Grace will debut with sailings from the Mediterranean, Canada and New England to the Caribbean, Crystal Symphony will travel from the Panama Canal to Alaska and Japan, while Crystal Serenity will explore Europe, the Arctic and the Eastern Mediterranean. Each ship will spend the season discovering the various regions through carefully curated itineraries that we hope our guests will love.”

Crystal Grace to debut in June 2028

Crystal Grace will enter service on 11 June 2028 in Civitavecchia, Italy, with an inaugural voyage calling at Sorrento, Igoumenitsa, Kotor, Split, Zadar and Trieste before continuing to Venice. Crystal said this will launch a Mediterranean season focused on Southern Europe’s coastlines and cultural capitals.

During the summer, the ship will operate itineraries in Italy, Croatia, Greece, France and Spain, with calls including Valencia and Monte Carlo. Crystal said the ship will be christened during an overnight stay in Monte Carlo on the voyage departing Barcelona on 8 July. Select sailings will be available as combinations, including two 34-night itineraries that do not repeat ports.

Autumn routes for Grace

In September, Crystal Grace will sail west from Lisbon via the Azores to Halifax and New York. That will start a series of autumn sailings in New England and Eastern Canada, with calls including Quebec City and Charlottetown.

The ship’s November programme includes Bermuda and Caribbean departures from Fort Lauderdale, with calls at Antigua, St Lucia, Aruba and Barbados. The itinerary mix extends the vessel’s first season beyond Europe and into the Atlantic and Caribbean basin, giving the new ship a broader geographic footprint in its debut year.

Symphony in the Americas and Asia

Crystal Symphony will begin summer operations in the Americas after completing the 2028 world cruise, Treasures of the Tides. The ship is scheduled to depart Fort Lauderdale on 10 June, with a Panama Canal transit and calls at Cartagena, Puerto Caldera, San Juan del Sur and Puerto Vallarta before continuing along the California coast to San Diego and San Francisco.

The vessel will then spend the peak summer period in Alaska and British Columbia, with multiple departures from Vancouver and Seward. Ports and scenic cruising on the programme include Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Wrangell and Hubbard Glacier. Crystal said two combination voyages are included in the season.

In late September, Crystal Symphony will cross the International Date Line to Japan and begin a series of voyages in Japan and South Korea, with ports including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagasaki, Busan and Kanazawa.

Serenity in Europe and the Arctic

Crystal Serenity will begin its summer season in Europe on 5 May, sailing from the Iberian Peninsula into the Mediterranean. Calls listed by the line include Cádiz, Valencia, Monte Carlo, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Valletta and Piraeus.

The ship will then head north to the British Isles and Norway, with a Grand Journey above the Arctic Circle to Honningsvåg, before continuing to Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Crystal also said the itinerary includes consecutive calls in Reykjavik, Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm, with two combination cruises available.

Later in the season, Crystal Serenity will operate voyages in Northern Europe before returning south through Western Europe and the Mediterranean, with calls in La Goulette, Cagliari, Ajaccio, Marseille, Palamós and Barcelona. The programme concludes with a transatlantic crossing and further sailings in warmer climates.

Industry context

The announcement adds to Crystal’s 2028 deployment plans across its fleet and underscores the importance of itinerary planning as cruise lines prepare long-lead sales campaigns. By releasing voyages for three ships at once, Crystal is positioning its schedule around a mix of maiden-season deployment, regional cruising and extended combination voyages.

HX reports record Antarctica season as guest satisfaction rises https://thecruisenews.com/hx-record-antarctica-season-2026/ Sun, 12 Apr 2026 04:47:36 +0000 https://thecruisenews.com/?p=5030 HX Expeditions has reported its strongest Antarctica season on record, citing higher guest satisfaction, increased suite bookings, expanded kayaking and camping capacity, and a series of science and education milestones.

The post HX reports record Antarctica season as guest satisfaction rises appeared first on The Cruise News.

]]>
09 April 2026 – HX Expeditions has reported its most successful Antarctica season on record, saying the 2025 to 2026 programme brought more travellers to the continent than any other operator while also delivering its highest-ever guest satisfaction and suite bookings. The company said the result reinforces its position as a leading expedition cruise operator in Antarctica and highlights continued demand for science-led and responsible travel.

HX said the season ran from October 2025 to March 2026 and included 34 sailings. The company also said its guests left 272 TripAdvisor reviews, with 252 five-star ratings and a 93% five-star score, while global suite bookings rose 5% compared with 2025 and increased by up to 80% in selected regions.

Guest demand and onboard results

The cruise line said it expanded its pre- and post-expedition guest journey during the season, introducing new experiences designed to improve comfort, connectivity and destination immersion. It also said it increased activity capacity, allowing more guests to kayak and camp than any other operator, with kayaking capacity up 188% and camping places doubled, while operating within IAATO guidelines.

HX framed those results as evidence that expedition cruising can scale without, in its view, weakening the protection of the destination. The company said every voyage complied with IAATO requirements, including limited shore landings, wildlife-distancing protocols, strict biosecurity measures, small-group operations and capped daily visitor numbers.

Science and education

HX also highlighted what it described as a science-first season. The company said it donated 1,801 Guest Scientist cruise nights to global research, recorded 27,869 Green Stay nights in which guests opted out of cabin servicing, and generated 1,111 Happywhale submissions and 2,250 eBird checklists.

Guests aboard HX ships also helped raise €124,882 for the HX Foundation, which the company said will support conservation, plastic pollution initiatives and community projects in the destinations it visits, including Antarctica. HX added that 2,307 guests completed the University of Tasmania’s Antarctica Introduction to Antarctica learning module, contributing more than 4,614 hours of study, and said the award-winning programme is now available in English and German, with Mandarin due to launch soon.

Verena Meraldi, HX Chief Scientist, said: ““As we close the 2025–2026 Antarctic season, I’m proud of how our Science & Education programme this season again enabled scientists to access remote environments while engaging guests directly in the process. A highlight for me was our work with Dr Manuel Novillo, documenting rare spawning behaviour of Antarctic blackfin icefish near Danco Island using our underwater drones. Capturing these moments in situ provides valuable insight into critical habitats that are still largely unknown. It’s a powerful reminder of what’s possible when expedition travel actively supports science in a rapidly changing Antarctic environment.”

Guest journey upgrades

HX said it introduced a series of changes aimed at making travel to and from Antarctica more seamless. Before the expedition, guests were offered later departures from Buenos Aires, to-go breakfasts for smoother transfers and upgraded charter flights with JetSMART’s new A321 aircraft.

The cruise line said the onboard and in-flight experience was also improved with locally made alfajores, commemorative canned water and upgraded service touches. After the voyage, later return flights gave guests more time in Ushuaia, along with a self-guided map pointing to local businesses offering complimentary items and a takeaway lunch featuring regional products.

For suite guests, HX said the experience was further enhanced with rooftop welcome drinks in Buenos Aires, private access to Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa, including check-in, dining and wellness facilities, and VIP lounge access at Ushuaia Airport.

Industry significance

The season matters because Antarctica remains one of the most tightly managed cruise destinations, where demand, visitor limits and environmental controls must be balanced closely. HX’s report points to a business model in which higher guest volumes are presented alongside science participation, guest education and regulated access, all of which remain central themes in expedition cruising.

The company said its growth in Antarctica is driven by the view that access must be paired with responsibility.

CEO Gebhard Rainer said: “This has been an extraordinary season – not only in terms of guest numbers and satisfaction, but in the depth of scientific engagement and responsible travel practices. As the largest operator, we recognise the responsibility that comes with our scale. Our focus is, and always will be, ensuring that Antarctica remains protected for future generations. HX’s record-breaking season underscores a clear message: high‑quality expedition travel and rigorous environmental stewardship can, and must, go hand in hand.”

Helsinki, Finland – 7 April 2026 — An extraordinary musical voyage takes shape this season as PONANT, in partnership with the Festival Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents, unveils a remarkable cruise celebrating the spirit and enduring legacy of jazz. This exclusive journey brings together an exceptional international line‑up — from Kadri Voorand to the Julian Lee Quartet featuring special guest Mar Vilaseca — alongside distinguished figures including Jason Olaine, Vice President of Programming at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Jazz programming curated with international partners

Guests will be invited to immerse themselves in the evocative worlds of bossa nova and swing through a vibrant tribute to the iconic collaboration between Antônio Carlos Jobim and Stan Getz. The programme promises intimate concerts, privileged encounters with artists, and rare moments of improvisation that capture the very essence of jazz.

The itinerary has been designed to explore a range of jazz styles, with onboard performances and themed sessions including a dedicated homage to the Jobim–Getz collaboration. PONANT confirmed that the voyage has been conceived under the artistic direction of Hughes Kieffer, with the aim of integrating live music into the onboard experience alongside destination‑focused exploration.

Baltic and North Sea itinerary across five countries

The sailing will take guests across Northern Europe, with ports of call in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia and Finland. The itinerary blends urban and natural landscapes, from coastal capitals to fjords and remote shorelines.

Among the highlights referenced by the company are the dramatic cliffs of Lysefjorden in Norway, as well as visits to major capitals and smaller regional destinations. The route is positioned to showcase both cultural centres and striking natural environments across the Baltic and North Sea regions.

PONANT indicated that the onboard programme is designed to complement the itinerary, with performances and events scheduled around time spent in port.

Expedition ship experience aboard Le Commandant Charcot

Throughout the sailing, the vessel will host the full jazz programme, with concerts and events taking place in dedicated onboard venues. PONANT describes the setting as an intimate stage for musical immersion, enhancing the overall expedition experience.

The company also confirmed that guests will be offered a complimentary additional night in Helsinki prior to embarkation, subject to conditions outlined in the official programme.

The post Seabourn unveils 2027–2029 ocean voyages as it marks 40 years at sea appeared first on The Cruise News.

]]>
SEATTLE, 25 March 2026 – Seabourn has announced its new programme of ocean voyages for 2027 through 2029, marking the cruise line’s 40th anniversary and outlining a global deployment of itineraries across key cruise regions.

The newly released voyages are designed to offer extended destination immersion, with an emphasis on longer stays in port and access to a wide range of destinations through Seabourn’s smaller-ship operations.

Global itineraries with focus on destination immersion

The 2027–2029 programme spans a broad selection of global destinations, reflecting Seabourn’s continued focus on worldwide deployment.

According to the announcement, the voyages are structured to prioritise destination immersion, with itineraries designed to include longer port stays and opportunities for in-depth exploration.

Seabourn’s fleet of smaller ships allows access to ports that may not be available to larger vessels, supporting a more varied itinerary structure across regions.

This approach remains central to the cruise line’s offering, providing guests with the ability to explore destinations in greater detail during each voyage.

40th anniversary milestone for the brand

The 2027–2029 voyage programme coincides with Seabourn’s 40th anniversary, marking four decades since the brand’s founding in 1986.

The announcement positions the upcoming seasons as part of this milestone period, reflecting the cruise line’s long-standing presence within the ultra-luxury segment.

“Travelers choose Seabourn because they want to genuinely connect with the places they visit,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. “As we look ahead to our 40th anniversary, this collection reflects where we began and where we are going, combining our heritage of small–ship luxury with new destinations and itineraries, new first-of-its-kind collaborations, and more opportunities to bring luxury and exploration together in an immersive way.”

While the anniversary is acknowledged within the programme, the focus of the release remains on the deployment of global itineraries and the continued development of Seabourn’s voyage offering.

Smaller ships enabling broader access

A key feature of the programme is the use of Seabourn’s smaller ships, which enable access to a wider range of ports compared with larger cruise vessels.

This operational model allows the cruise line to design itineraries that include a mix of established ports and destinations that require more flexible access.

The emphasis on smaller-ship cruising continues to define Seabourn’s positioning within the luxury segment, supporting a more tailored and destination-focused experience.

Background and brand positioning

Founded in 1986, Seabourn operates within the ultra-luxury cruise segment, offering voyages characterised by smaller ships, personalised service and destination-led itineraries.

Over time, the cruise line has built a global footprint, with itineraries spanning multiple regions and designed to appeal to travellers seeking a more refined and immersive cruise experience.

The 2027–2029 programme reflects this established positioning, maintaining a focus on global destinations and extended itineraries.

Industry context and forward booking strategy

The release of the 2027–2029 ocean voyages reflects a broader industry trend towards earlier itinerary announcements, allowing cruise lines to capture forward demand and support long-term planning.

This approach provides travel advisors with extended booking windows and allows guests to plan voyages well in advance, particularly within the luxury segment where longer lead times are common.

By releasing its programme early, Seabourn is aligning with industry practices aimed at securing early bookings and strengthening forward visibility across upcoming seasons.

The post Princess Cruises unveils 2027–28 South America season with Majestic Princess itineraries appeared first on The Cruise News.

]]>
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – 24 March 2026 – Princess Cruises has announced its 2027–28 South America and Antarctica season, with Majestic Princess set to sail a series of itineraries featuring 19 destinations and access to 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites across the region.

The programme combines destination-led itineraries with scenic cruising in Antarctica, reinforcing the cruise line’s focus on immersive travel experiences across culturally and environmentally significant regions.

Broad destination mix across South America

The season will see Majestic Princess operate a range of voyages across South America, with itineraries designed to showcase a diverse mix of ports and regional highlights.

Guests will visit 19 destinations spanning multiple countries, with itineraries offering access to a wide range of cultural landmarks and natural attractions. A key feature of the programme is the inclusion of 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, reflecting a continued emphasis on heritage-driven travel.

The deployment aligns with growing traveller demand for itineraries that combine multiple countries and culturally significant experiences within a single journey.

Antarctica cruising remains a core draw

A defining element of the 2027–28 season is the inclusion of Antarctica itineraries, which continue to attract strong interest within the premium cruise segment.

Passengers will have the opportunity to experience scenic cruising through Antarctic waters, offering views of glaciers, ice formations and wildlife. These sailings are structured to deliver access to one of the world’s most remote regions while adhering to environmental regulations that limit onshore activity.

Antarctica continues to be positioned as a once-in-a-lifetime destination within the cruise sector, and its inclusion strengthens the overall appeal of the South America deployment.

Destination-led programming onboard

Majestic Princess, part of the cruise line’s Royal Class fleet, will offer a full range of onboard amenities alongside destination-focused programming tailored to the region.

Princess Cruises continues to integrate enrichment experiences into its itineraries, including lectures and cultural insights designed to complement the destinations visited. This approach supports a broader shift within the industry towards deeper engagement with each region rather than purely port-driven cruising.

The South America season reflects this evolution, balancing onboard experiences with meaningful destination exposure.

Relevance for Middle East travel trade

For the Middle East market, the announcement presents a strong opportunity for travel advisors to promote long-haul, experience-led itineraries to high-value travellers.

Demand for South America and Antarctica cruises has been gradually increasing among GCC travellers, particularly those seeking extended journeys that offer a combination of natural landscapes and cultural depth.

The 2027–28 timeframe provides ample lead time for trade partners to package these itineraries with international flights and pre- or post-cruise land programmes. This is particularly relevant for travellers departing from hubs such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where connectivity to South America continues to expand via global airline networks.

Cruise lines remain reliant on regional trade partners to position these complex itineraries effectively, given their longer duration and premium pricing.

Industry context and forward planning

The launch of the 2027–28 South America season reflects a wider industry trend towards releasing itineraries earlier to capture forward demand and support long-term planning among travel advisors.

South America and Antarctica continue to play a strategic role in global cruise deployment, offering a combination of cultural significance and remote exploration that differentiates them from more traditional cruise regions.

By positioning Majestic Princess in the region, Princess Cruises is reinforcing its presence in the premium segment while responding to increasing interest in destination-rich voyages that prioritise depth of experience.

The post Seabourn and The Atlantic launch multi-year enrichment partnership at sea appeared first on The Cruise News.

]]>
SEATTLE, 23 March 2026 – Seabourn has announced a first-of-its-kind three-year collaboration with The Atlantic, introducing a series of curated onboard programmes and events across selected voyages beginning in 2026.

The partnership combines Seabourn’s existing guest experience with editorially curated discussions and cultural programming developed in collaboration with the publication, marking a new phase in enrichment-led cruising.

The initiative will culminate in a dedicated sailing titled “With The Atlantic: A Seabourn Conversations Exclusive”, scheduled for October 2028 aboard Seabourn Quest as part of the cruise line’s 40th anniversary year.

Editorial-led programming introduced onboard

The collaboration will bring a series of curated experiences to Seabourn voyages, including live events, discussions and programming featuring leading thinkers and cultural voices curated by The Atlantic.

According to the announcement, the partnership is designed to provide guests with access to ideas and perspectives from journalism, culture and global affairs, delivered through onboard sessions and interactive formats.

This content will be integrated into Seabourn’s existing Seabourn Conversations programme, which already features guest speakers and subject matter experts across a range of disciplines.

The addition of a media partner introduces a structured editorial dimension to onboard enrichment, aligning cruise experiences with broader intellectual and cultural engagement.

Dedicated 2028 voyage to anchor the partnership

A key milestone within the three-year collaboration will be the 12-day Seabourn Conversations sailing in October 2028 aboard Seabourn Quest.

The voyage is expected to bring together speakers selected by The Atlantic, offering guests opportunities for dialogue and discussion throughout the journey.

The sailing will form part of Seabourn’s 40th anniversary programme, positioning it as a flagship experience within the broader partnership.

While full itinerary details are not outlined in the release, the focus of the voyage is centred on curated content and interaction in addition to destination-specific programming alone.

Added value through digital subscription access

As part of the collaboration, guests sailing on participating voyages will receive a digital subscription to The Atlantic, extending the experience beyond onboard programming.

This allows travellers to engage with the publication’s journalism before, during and after their voyage, creating continuity between travel and intellectual discovery.

The integration reflects a broader trend in luxury travel towards deeper, more sustained guest engagement beyond the physical journey itself.

Relevance for Middle East travel trade

For the Middle East travel trade, the partnership highlights a growing opportunity to position cruise products beyond traditional leisure offerings, particularly among culturally engaged and experience-driven travellers.

Luxury cruise brands such as Seabourn continue to attract high-value guests from the GCC who are seeking more than destination-led itineraries, with increasing interest in enrichment-focused travel.

The addition of curated editorial programming provides travel advisors with a differentiated selling point, particularly when targeting repeat cruisers or clients looking for intellectually engaging experiences.

With Seabourn’s global deployment and accessibility via major international air hubs, the collaboration can be integrated into long-haul cruise packages marketed across the region.

Industry shift towards experiential enrichment

The announcement reflects a wider shift within the cruise industry towards enhancing onboard programming as a central component of the guest experience.

While enrichment programmes have long been part of premium and luxury cruising, partnerships with established media organisations represent an evolution in how content is curated and delivered.

By collaborating with The Atlantic, Seabourn is aligning its onboard experience with a recognised editorial voice, reinforcing the role of cruises as platforms for cultural exchange and learning.

This approach is increasingly relevant as cruise lines seek to differentiate their offerings in a competitive market, particularly within the luxury segment where guest expectations continue to evolve.

Oslo, Norway – 12 February 2026 – Hurtigruten has unveiled three new “Limited Collection” itineraries for the 2027–28 season, including its first-ever fjord-only sailing and its most immersive fjord voyage to date aboard MS Trollfjord. The new programme deepens the line’s Norwegian coastal offering with flexible, small-ship journeys that venture further into the country’s dramatic fjords and high Arctic regions than conventional cruise itineraries.

A Fjord-Only First for Hurtigruten

Among the headline additions is Hurtigruten’s first dedicated fjord-only route. Designed to concentrate entirely on Norway’s iconic waterways, the sailing will navigate deep into lesser-visited inlets and dramatic UNESCO-listed landscapes that larger cruise vessels are often unable to access.

Unlike fixed-route itineraries, the Limited Collection voyages allow for adaptive routing, with flexibility shaped by weather patterns and natural conditions. This operational model reflects Hurtigruten’s heritage as Norway’s long-standing coastal operator, where seamanship and local knowledge play a central role in voyage planning.

MS Trollfjord, which operates these sailings, has been tailored for Norway’s rugged coast, enabling closer shoreline approaches and access to smaller communities.

Extended Stays in Remote Arctic Ports

In addition to the fjord-focused sailing, Hurtigruten has introduced Arctic itineraries featuring longer stays in northern ports. These extended calls are designed to provide more meaningful cultural engagement, allowing guests to explore fishing villages, Sami heritage experiences and Arctic landscapes at a slower pace.

The voyages form part of Hurtigruten’s 2027–28 Norwegian coastal season, which continues to emphasise immersive, regionally grounded travel rather than high-volume port rotations.

Industry observers note that demand for smaller-ship, destination-centric cruising remains strong, particularly in Scandinavia where sustainability and cultural authenticity are key considerations for travellers.

Flexible Routing as a Differentiator

Hurtigruten’s flexible routing model stands out in a sector typically defined by fixed timetables. By adapting itineraries to prevailing conditions — whether chasing optimal light in winter or navigating fjords during favourable tides — the line aims to enhance both safety and scenic impact.

Such flexibility is possible due to the line’s operational history along Norway’s coast, where vessels have served communities for more than a century.

While larger ocean ships may transit Norway seasonally, Hurtigruten’s year-round presence provides a depth of local expertise that informs these new sailings.

Strengthening the Coastal Portfolio

The new voyages complement Hurtigruten’s established Coastal Express and Signature programmes, further diversifying its Norwegian product mix.

MS Trollfjord, the vessel assigned to these itineraries, underwent refurbishment in recent years to align with Hurtigruten’s updated onboard concept, which places greater emphasis on Nordic cuisine, local sourcing and regional storytelling.

By concentrating capacity on fewer guests and deeper exploration, the Limited Collection voyages aim to position Hurtigruten competitively within the premium small-ship segment.

Celebration, Florida, USA10 February 2026 – Disney Cruise Line has announced that the Disney Wish will be deployed to Europe for the first time in 2027, marking a significant milestone for the company’s newest class of vessels. According to the announcement, the 2022‑built ship will operate an extensive programme of Mediterranean and Northern Europe cruises between April and September 2027.

The deployment represents the first time a Wish‑class ship will sail in European waters. The Disney Wish, which entered service in 2022 and was constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, is the first vessel in Disney Cruise Line’s Wish‑class series. The 140,000‑gross‑ton ship accommodates approximately 2,500 passengers and is known for its immersive storytelling‑driven design, themed dining and family‑focused entertainment.

A Season Spanning the Mediterranean and Northern Europe

The ship’s inaugural European season will begin on 25 April 2027, following a transatlantic crossing. The Disney Wish will initially sail from Southampton, offering a series of Northern Europe itineraries before repositioning to Barcelona in May. From there, the ship will operate Mediterranean voyages departing from both Barcelona and Civitavecchia, the port serving Rome.

In mid‑July, the vessel will return to Southampton for additional Northern Europe cruises before concluding its European deployment on 10 September 2027. The programme includes a mix of culturally rich destinations, family‑friendly ports and iconic European cities, aligning with Disney Cruise Line’s strategy of expanding its global footprint while maintaining its signature storytelling‑led guest experience.

Fleet Adjustments for the 2027 Season

While the Disney Wish operates in Europe, the Disney Dream will assume responsibility for the ship’s usual three‑ and four‑night Bahamas itineraries from Port Canaveral. These sailings typically include calls at Disney’s private destinations, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Disney Cruise Line also confirmed broader fleet deployments for 2027. The Disney Wonder and Disney Magic will return to Alaska for a second consecutive year, sailing from Vancouver. Meanwhile, the Disney Treasure and Disney Fantasy will continue operating Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries from Port Canaveral. The Disney Destiny will sail from Port Everglades, and the Disney Adventure—scheduled to enter service in March 2025—will remain based in Singapore through late 2027.

A Strategic Move for Disney Cruise Line

The decision to deploy the Disney Wish to Europe underscores Disney Cruise Line’s continued expansion and its commitment to offering diverse global itineraries. The move also reflects growing demand for family‑oriented cruise holidays in Europe, particularly among North American travellers seeking culturally immersive experiences.

The Disney Wish has been a flagship example of Disney’s evolving cruise product, featuring themed dining concepts such as “Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure,” “Worlds of Marvel,” and “1923,” alongside innovative entertainment and character‑driven experiences. Its arrival in Europe is expected to attract both loyal Disney Cruise Line guests and new travellers drawn to the brand’s storytelling‑centric approach.
