The announcement confirms that advance reservations are now available for itineraries aboard the line’s three tall ships: Star Clipper, Star Flyer and Royal Clipper.

According to the press statement, the early access initiative is designed to reward loyal guests and provide travel advisors with priority booking opportunities for popular routes that traditionally sell out well in advance.

Star Clippers’ 2026 programme will once again feature a mix of Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries, focusing on smaller ports and off-the-beaten-path destinations that larger cruise vessels are unable to access.

The line is known for operating authentic tall sailing ships that combine traditional nautical design with modern comfort. With capacities ranging from approximately 166 guests on Star Clipper and Star Flyer to 227 guests on the five-masted Royal Clipper, the fleet maintains an intimate onboard atmosphere.

Early access bookings allow returning guests and trade partners to secure preferred cabins and sailing dates before wider public availability. The move aligns with ongoing demand for boutique and experiential cruise travel, particularly in the small-ship segment.

Tall Ship Cruising in 2026

The 2026 season is expected to continue Star Clippers’ established pattern of seasonal deployment:

• Mediterranean sailings during the European spring and summer months, visiting destinations such as Greece, Italy, Croatia, Spain and Turkey.
• Caribbean sailings during the winter season, featuring island-hopping routes across the Windward and Leeward Islands, Costa Rica and Panama.

The cruise line emphasises port-intensive itineraries, extended time in harbour and open-deck sailing experiences, where weather conditions permit guests to witness the manual hoisting of sails — a signature element of the brand’s identity.

Strengthening Trade and Guest Loyalty

By introducing early access, Star Clippers is reinforcing its relationship with repeat travellers and its global travel advisor network. Smaller ships, limited cabin inventory and niche itineraries often lead to high occupancy rates well ahead of departure, making advance access particularly valuable for securing preferred dates.
