MSC Cruises to Introduce Eataly Restaurant Aboard MSC World Asia

MSC World Asia Eataly Restaurant

GENEVA, 15 October 2026 – MSC Cruises will introduce its second Eataly restaurant at sea aboard MSC World Asia, extending the Italian dining concept to its newest flagship when Mediterranean sailings begin on 4 December 2026.

The restaurant follows Eataly’s debut aboard MSC World America, with MSC Cruises remaining the only cruise line to feature the Italian restaurant brand at sea.

The addition forms part of MSC Cruises’ collaboration with established culinary brands, with MSC World Asia set to feature more than 40 bars, lounges, cafés and restaurants, including concepts developed with award-winning culinary partners.

Eataly to Bring Italian Dining to the Mediterranean

The Eataly restaurant aboard MSC World Asia will feature a contemporary setting influenced by traditional Italian hospitality and the cruise line’s European heritage.

The menu will feature regional Italian specialities and classic dishes prepared using high-quality ingredients. The restaurant’s design and dining environment will combine contemporary elements with the traditions associated with Italian cuisine.

The partnership follows Eataly’s debut aboard MSC World America and extends the restaurant concept to guests travelling on Mediterranean itineraries.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said:

“Exceptional food and hospitality are at the heart of the experience we create for our guests. Partnering with Eataly allows us to bring a renowned culinary brand to sea, offering guests an authentic dining experience that showcases the quality, tradition and passion that define Italian cuisine. Following the successful debut of Eataly onboard MSC World America, we look forward to bringing our guests in the Mediterranean a unique dining experience with an artfully created menu reflecting the global nature of MSC Cruises.”

Live Cooking, Chef’s Table and Terrace Dining

Show cooking will form a central part of the restaurant’s offering, with a dedicated chef’s table providing guests with a closer introduction to Italian culinary craftsmanship.

The restaurant will also feature a terrace overlooking the ocean. Guests interested in wine will be able to arrange a personalised visit to the wine cellar at The Terraces Bar, where they can choose their own bottle.

These features will complement the restaurant’s menu of Italian regional dishes and traditional favourites, combining seated dining with opportunities to engage more closely with food and wine preparation and selection.

More Than 40 Bars, Lounges and Dining Venues

MSC World Asia will feature more than 40 bars, lounges, cafés and restaurants, including several concepts developed with internationally recognised, award-winning culinary partners.

Eataly’s introduction aboard the new flagship continues MSC Cruises’ existing collaboration with the Italian restaurant brand, following its launch on MSC World America.

Mediterranean Itineraries Begin in December

MSC World Asia will commence seven-night Mediterranean cruises on 4 December 2026, visiting destinations including Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples and Valletta.

The itineraries are available for booking, with passengers able to embark at multiple ports along the route.
