SEATTLE, 8 September, 2026 — Seabourn has announced a new 30-day Amazon Explorer: Rivers & Rainforests voyage aboard Seabourn Quest, sailing roundtrip from Miami from 18 November to 18 December 2028.
The itinerary will visit 15 destinations across seven countries, combining Caribbean calls with scenic Amazon River cruising and visits to riverside communities. An overnight stay in Manaus is among the voyage highlights, giving guests additional time in one of the Amazon’s most culturally rich destinations.
The sailing will take place during Seabourn’s Ruby Jubilee year, marking the cruise line’s 40th anniversary in 2028.
Amazon voyage to include river communities and Caribbean calls
Seabourn Quest will depart Miami and travel through the Caribbean before entering the Amazon River. Scheduled Amazon-region calls include Santarém, Boca da Valeria, Parintins, Manaus and more in Brazil. The itinerary will also visit Devil’s Island in French Guiana, while Caribbean calls will include Saint Barthelemy, Trinidad and Grenada.
In Manaus, Seabourn Quest will remain overnight. The extended call will provide additional time for guests to explore the city’s architecture, markets, cultural landmarks and waterfront. At Santarém, the itinerary reaches an area near the meeting of the Amazon and Tapajós rivers, where the sediment-rich waters of the Amazon run alongside the clearer blue-green waters of the Tapajós before the two gradually merge.
Boca da Valeria will offer a call at a small riverside community surrounded by rainforest, while Parintins is included among the Amazon river destinations on the programme. In Saint Barthelemy, Seabourn Quest will call at Gustavia, whose yacht-like harbour is rarely accessible to larger ships.

Scenic cruising forms part of 30-day itinerary
Scenic cruising on the Amazon River will form part of the voyage, with the route combining river landscapes and communities with destination calls. The 30-day sailing begins a period of extended voyages aboard Seabourn Quest. After completing the Amazon itinerary, the ship is scheduled to operate two 10-day Caribbean holiday voyages.
Seabourn Quest will then depart Miami on 7 January 2029 for the 138-day World Cruise: Iconic Islands & Remote Horizons. The Amazon sailing will take place during Seabourn’s 40th anniversary year, which the cruise line is marking as its Ruby Jubilee.
Refreshed Seabourn Quest to operate voyage
Guests on the 2028 Amazon voyage will sail aboard Seabourn Quest following one of the most comprehensive interior updates in the ship’s history. Enhancements cover suites, public areas, dining venues and wellness spaces. The ship features ocean-front suites, most with private verandas, as well as the Seabourn Conversations enrichment programme, which includes presentations and discussions with speakers from a range of fields. The ship’s smaller scale also supports calls at boutique destinations included across the itinerary.
